"Mindfulness is paying attention to your life, here and now, with kindness and curiosity." (Amy Saltzman)
How self-aware do you think you are? Do you ever feel like you become dizzy from reacting to the world around you? How often do you manage to 'pause' before reacting to something that someone said, or did?
Our focus on mindfulness will provide us with an opportunity to gain insight into the ways in which we react to our inner and outer lives. We will also experiment with different mindfulness exercises - with the focus being on increasing our awareness of our thoughts, physical sensations and our environment.
On Wednesday we will be travelling through the city, experimenting with meditating surrounded by serenity along with the chaos of everyday life. We will journey to St Kilda, observing mindfulness in motion before joining Anselm Van Rood, a local artist, in a special drawing meditation workshop. If there is time, a visit to the seaside will happen :)
